“Life is more fun if you play games.”
The surprising benefits of playing games ...
Games enhance social connection and emotional bonding, reduce stress and promote mental well-being
Games also boost brain function and cognitive skills. All ages and abilities can benefit from playing games.
I know you've heard many times how important it is to take care of ourselves ... this is a marathon and not a sprint. But I know that common sense is not common practice ...
So parents, this is for you! An opportunity to hang out with other parents of children with special needs and engage in some friendly conversation and competition! Try your hand at Pictionary, Uno, Jenga, Trivia, Pool, Zingo, Dutch Blitz - or even bring your own and get a group playing along with you! There will be an immersive colouring therapy table for those who like to relax and colour. For sports lovers, feel comfortable coming and watching a hockey or football game on the TVs there!
